Fundraising FAQ
1.) Aren’t fund raiser car washes bad for the planet?
Not necessarily. Since car washing CAN be wasteful of water and other natural resources and significantly contribute to polluting the environment, washing a hundred cars at a single event can be a thousand times worse. However, just like it it can be safe to wash a single car, it is entirely possible to have a GREEN fund raiser car wash. Many progressive municipalities recognize this, and some even promote it as a valid method to earn the funds your organization needs. One example is the Town of Windsor, Connecticut. Click Windsor, CT to view their current brochure.
2.) Are terry cloth towels OK to use with Freedom Waterless products?
No. Freedom products require Microfiber towels.
We recommend using high quality Microfiber towels with the Freedom products. These are washed in the washing machine with regular detergent. Avoid commercial fabric softener as it causes streaks when you clean. Instead of commercial fabric softener, try white vinegar in the wash or final rinse cycle. Microfiber towels can be washed and reused 100’s of times, however, they eventually wear out and may become coarse and brittle over time. To extend the life of your towels, use our new Microfiber Towel Soap to keep them clean, soft and pliable for the life of the towel.
3.) How – exactly – do you use Freedom Waterless products?
Here are the 6 step-by-step instructions printed on Freedom product labels, plus some additional tips.
- Dampen the first microfiber towel with clean water and ring out well.
- Fold this towel in fourths and spray Freedom ONE Super Polymer on it.
- Spray Freedom ONE onto the surface of the vehicle too. (Please limit cleaning to a 24”x 24” area, or smaller, at a time.)
- Gently rub the product in with the towel.
- Quickly switch to a clean, folded, dry microfiber towel (towel #2) and buff off the residue before it dries.
- Repeat steps 1-5 until vehicle is clean.
Tip: Work from top of the car downward. Work your way lower and lower as you circle the car, ending at the bottom-side sections of the vehicle. Because the lower sections of the car are usually the dirtiest, this method keeps your microfiber towels cleaner, longer.
After using Freedom ONE the first 1-2 times, you will find your car will be very slick and should stay clean for weeks. If you clean/touch-up your car once per week, your car will look great at all times!
4.) Since a picture is worth a thousands words…photos would be nice, right?
Good point. Below that are some stills that illustrate how easy it is to use Freedom ONE and our other products.
(There are many Freedom Waterless How-To videos. One example is in the PRODUCT/FAQ section of this web site)
Directions – with photos – for using Freedom ONE (and Freedom Original) :
You will need 2 or 3 micro fiber towels and a bottle of our waterless car wash product.

1. Dampen the first microfiber towel with clean water and ring out well. Spray the product onto a clean folded micro fiber towel and…
onto the surface you are going to clean. Hold the bottle 10-15 inches away from the non-porous surface and spray in a sweeping motion, for best results. Spray only on the large, flat areas. Do not spray into cracks, seams or other hard to reach areas. If required, spray more product on the towel, then wipe cracks, seams, and other areas.

2. Gently rub Freedom Waterless Car Wash onto the surface with that first towel. You want to always use the “wet on wet” method. Wet towel with a wet surface. This ensures nothing dry touches anything else dry.

TIP: You will need to be very conscious of the surfaces you are cleaning. If you encounter heavy bird droppings, muddy area or any other surface that could be gritty or heavily soiled, please do not attempt to clean it with our products. Use water remove any and all of the coarse material. Once the coarse materials are removed you can use our products to clean the wet or dry surface. Once a section of the folded the towel gets soiled, refold it to a clean section of the towel. Always replace the towel if it gets too soiled and use another clean one. Please use common sense when using this product. If you have any questions, please contact us.
3. After initially spraying on and gently rubbing in Freedom Waterless Car Wash, you will see a light haze appear. Quickly, before it dries, switch to a another clean micro-fiber towel and buff off the haze into a brilliant shine. That’s it. It is really that easy. Continue on around the car until the entire vehicle is clean.

Repeat steps 1-3 as you circle the outside of the vehicle a few times. We recommend that you start with the roof, clean as you round the car. Work your way around the until you finally reach the bottom rocker of the vehicle. To finalize your cleaning, some people use a third clean towel and go around the car one last time and wipe places they may have missed.
